The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has since 2002 been implementing the Monitoring and Evaluation Component of the Energy for Rural Transformation Programme (ERT) aimed at increasing access to electricity and other forms of energy in the country in order to reduce poverty.

The draft reports for the M&E project have been presented to the client, PMAU. Feedback has been received from the client via the validation workshop and individual comments and the consultant is currently incoporating these comments into the report to produce the final report for the project before the end of 2008.
